HCA Distinguished Executive in Residence Professorship

Nov 18, 2014

Milton Johnson, current President and CEO of HCA and Richard Bracken The Department is very proud to announce the creation of the HCA Distinguished Executive in Residence Professorship. The Professorship is made possible through a generous gift from the Hospital Corporation of America as a tribute to Richard M. Bracken, alumnus of the MHA Class of 1977 and long time President and CEO of HCA, upon his retirement as Chairman of the HCA Board of Directors. The Professorship was presented to Mr. Bracken by HCA's current President and CEO, Milton Johnson, at Mr. Bracken's last Board meeting in Dallas October 21. The gift honors the long and productive relationship between HCA and the Department of Health Administration. It will support the connection of top health care executives to the Department and its students so that their academic preparation can be enhanced and applied to the rapidly changing field of practice.
