Dr. Dolores Clement has been confirmed as the Sentara Professor of Health Administration. This professorship, endowed with a gift from Sentara Healthcare in 2007, is intended to support "distinguished faculty for the graduate training of men and women for eventual leadership roles” in healthcare.
Dr. Gloria Bazzoli, along with Dr. Dave Harless from the School of Business, and Askar Chukmaitov (PhD ’05) from the Department of Healthcare Policy and Research, were awarded a large research grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (under the purview of the U.S. Department for Health and Human Services) to study the development and effectiveness of Accountable Care Organizations.
Tracey Gendron, Lynn Pelco, Jenn Pryor, Sonya Barsness, and Lynne Seward recently learned that the Journal of Higher Education, Outreach and Engagement has accepted their article entitled "A Telephone Support Program for Adult Day Center Caregivers: Early Indications of Impact."
