Age in Action - Winter 2018
Jan 23, 2018
This issue features a "case study" on communicating with young children on the subject of aging and growing older, using principles of gerontology theory. It reflects my own work over the past 30+ years. There are also editorials on our work here at the Virginia Center on Aging and at the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services; brief summaries of research on exercise and stroke recovery, a U.K. longitudinal study on diet early in life and physical ability later in life, and a study on rural versus urban caregiving; a call for proposals from our Alzheimer's and Related Diseases Research Award Program; Calendar notices, and other blurbs and items.
